On 10 and 11 January 2026, the 5th edition of School Bell Camp 2025–26 was successfully conducted with the objective of promoting community engagementeducational support, and social responsibility among student volunteers. The camp was organised under the NSS Cell of Presidency University in collaboration with Yuvak Sangha and the Campus to Community initiative.

 

A total of 48 student volunteers from Presidency University actively participated in the camp, comprising 25 girls and 23 boys. The two-day residential camp covered two government schools, with one school being engaged each day. The volunteers worked with great enthusiasm, teamwork, and dedication, creating a positive and encouraging learning environment for school children.

 

During the camp, volunteers were involved in a variety of activities aimed at the holistic development of students and the improvement of school infrastructure. These activities included classroom beautificationpaintinginteractive learning sessionscleanliness drives, and engaging students through fun and educational activities. The camp strongly emphasised the importance of education, hygiene, discipline, and community bonding.

 

Key Highlights of the Event

  • 48 NSS volunteers actively contributed their time and efforts, maintaining effective coordination and discipline throughout the camp.

Overall Impact

 

The School Bell Camp 2025–26 served as a transformative experience for both the volunteers and the school students. It helped inculcate values of leadership, empathy, teamwork, and civic responsibility among NSS volunteers. The camp reflected the NSS Cell’s continued commitment to community development and the upliftment of educational institutions through sustained volunteer engagement. The initiative successfully bridged the gap between the campus and the community, leaving a lasting positive impact on all stakeholders involved.
