Presidency School of Commerce Student Secures 89.86 Percentile in CAT 2025

Presidency School of CommercePresidency University, Bengaluru is proud to announce that Mr. Bhuvanesh R K, (Roll No. 20231BBB0006) a Final Year student of BBA in Business Analytics, has secured an outstanding 89.86 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025.

The Common Admission Test is one of India’s most competitive management entrance examinations, serving as the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other leading business schools across the country.

Mr. Bhuvanesh’s achievement stands as a testament to his academic rigor, analytical aptitude, and commitment to excellence. The School congratulates him on this significant milestone and wishes him great success in securing admission to a top management institution and in his future endeavors

Academic Achievement – Presidency School of Commerce

We are proud to share that Ms. Shaik Rijwana, a student of B.Sc. Economics – 6th Semester, has successfully presented a research paper titled “India–Japan Trade and Technology Partnerships: Building Sustainable Startup Ecosystems for Viksit Bharat @ 2047” in collaboration with Dr. Amit Saha, Assistant Professor – Senior Scale, Presidency School of Commerce.

The paper was presented at the Two-Day National Level Seminar on “Sustainable Business Models for Eco-System Start-ups in Vision Viksit Bharat @ 2047”, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) – Southern Regional Centre (SRC), Hyderabad, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The seminar was organized by the Department of Commerce, Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, an institution nationally re-accredited with A++ Grade by NAAC, held on 27th and 28th November 2025.

Adding to this achievement, the research paper has also been published in the book titled “Sustainable Business Models for Ecosystem Start-Ups: Viksit Bharat 2047” (ISBN: 978-93-7413-871-7).

Mohammed Favaz Excels in CA Foundation

We are proud to announce that Mr. Mohammed Favaz, from the First Batch of B.Com CA (Foundation), has successfully cleared the Foundation Examination with commendable marks.

This accomplishment is especially noteworthy as the overall pass percentage (Male) for May 2025 stands at only 16.26%, making his success a truly remarkable milestone.

Research Paper presentation on Public Health and SDGs at National Seminar

Ms. Shaik Rijwana, a 4th-semester B.Sc. (Economics) student, and Dr. Amit Saha, Assistant Professor, presented their research paper titled "Public Health and Well-Being: A Study on Public Health Expenditure in India for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" at the ICSSR-sponsored National Seminar on "Emerging Issues on Economic Prosperity and Sustainability." The seminar was organized by the Department of Economics in collaboration with IQAC, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College, Sivasagar, Assam.

Team Alfa Zyrus, a group of 20 talented students from the Presidency School of Commerce & Economics, participated in the Edgeline Go-Kart Championship, held in Pune, Maharashtra, from February 6 to 9, 2025. Competing against top institutions from across the country, the team demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, innovation, and teamwork, securing an impressive 3rd place at the national level.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, problem-solving abilities, and engineering skills of our students. Among the outstanding team members, Pashikanti Srimayee, a student of B.Sc. Economics, played a key role in this success.

BBA Digital Marketing students Ms. Medha Iyer (20241BBD0003) and Ms. Moksha Bafna (20241BBD0043) presented their paper titled “Decoding Consumer Desires Through Neuromarketing in the Digital Age” at the National Conference on Revolutionising Commerce and Management through Technology and Analytics hosted by MindSpark Learning Hub on March 22, 2025.

The paper explored the integration of consumer psychology and digital tools through the lens of neuromarketing—paving the way for more empathetic and effective marketing strategies.

Mohamed Shayaan Younus, 4th Semester B.Com student, co-authored and presented a paper alongsideDr Amit SahaAssistant Professor – Senior Scale, at the 5th One Day National Conference – “Harnessing the Timeless Wisdom of IKS: Bridging Modernity for Regeneration” at New Horizon College, Marathahalli, on April 7, 2025.

The paper titled “Culture Meets Corporate: A Study on Indian Values Shaping HR Policies of MNCs in India” explored how Indian cultural values like DharmaSeva, and Karma influence HR practices in MNCs operating in India—creating a harmonious blend of global standards and traditional Indian ethos.

The research highlighted the immense potential of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in redefining modern corporate practices, emphasising that traditional values remain highly relevant in shaping ethical and inclusive workplaces.

Digital Marketing Students Present at National Seminar

Mr. K. Prince Ganesh, Ms. Moksha Bafna and Mr. Dan Jimmy Kurian, 2nd semester BBA - Digital Marketing students presented their research papers at the National Seminar on “India’s Global Leadership in the 21st Century”, held at REVA University on on May 6, 2025.

Two of the research papers were co-authored by Ms. Neha Bharti, Assistant Professor, School of Media Studies (SoMS), which showcases PSOC’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaborative academic excellence.
