Students are meticulously trained to excel in the dynamic fields of print, digital, broadcast, radio, advertising, public relations, podcasting, event management, and fact-checking through the thoughtfully designed curriculum. To bridge the gap between academia and industry, regular guest lectures by industry professionals are organized, and visits to media firms provide hands-on experience and real-world insights and the educational photowalks and trips provide practical insights and enhance skills in photography and videography.

Presidency School of Media Studies offers a wide range of media and communication programmes including B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication), specialized B.A. programmes in Digital Marketing & Advertising, Public Relations & Corporate Communication, Film, Television & Digital Production, and Digital Storytelling & Content Creation. The school also offers an M.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, and Ph.D. programmes in Media Studies.

Students can apply online through the official Presidency University admission portal. Applicants need to complete the application form, submit the required academic documents, and follow the admission and registration process as guided by the university admissions team.

The B.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication) programmes are full-time 3-year undergraduate courses divided into six semesters. The M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication programme is a 2-year postgraduate course.

For undergraduate media programmes, candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks and English as a compulsory subject. Eligibility for postgraduate programmes is based on graduation from a recognised university.
