Eligibility

As per the NCAHP Guidelines 2021, the following criteria apply for admission to the B.O.T programme:

  • Candidates must have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognised board.

  • A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required.

  • Candidates from the National Open School and equivalent recognised boards are eligible, subject to fulfilling the required subject and marks criteria.

  • Candidates with equivalent qualifications obtained abroad must meet the eligibility norms prescribed by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

  • Applicants must have completed 17 years of age on or before the date of admission.

  • A medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner must be submitted at the time of admission.

Occupational Therapy is a healthcare profession focused on helping individuals of all ages regain, develop, or maintain the skills required for daily living and productive activities. Occupational therapists assist individuals with physical, neurological, developmental, psychological, and emotional challenges to achieve independence and improve their quality of life.

The Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (B.O.T) [DVSPVC2.1] is an undergraduate professional programme designed to develop knowledge, clinical competence, therapeutic reasoning, and comprehensive rehabilitation skills. Students are trained to assess physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial limitations and to formulate evidence-based intervention plans that promote functional independence.
