The highly experienced faculty focuses mainly on training students to go forward, take up challenging jobs in a wide range of industries related to civil engineering, and engage themselves in research and development activities for the welfare of society. The curriculum caters to learning needs from the basics to the advanced level. There are a variety of discipline electives from which students can choose their preferred specialization. The state-of-the-art laboratories in the department are equipped with the most advanced technologies, which provide hands-on experiences and support research activities.

Dear Students,
The Department of Civil Engineering at Presidency University, Bengaluru, offers a comprehensive range of programs, including undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD degrees, that are designed to prepare students for successful careers in the field.
The department takes pride in its curriculum, which is developed in collaboration with industry experts as well as experts from prestigious academic institutions like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The industry-ready curriculum equips students with the skills and knowledge required for job readiness while ensuring that they are exposed to the latest industry practices. The faculty members of the department are accomplished experts in their respective domains. Their extensive industry experience enables them to provide students with valuable insights and mentorship. Students also received guidance pertaining to competitive exams for higher education (GATE, GRE) and government employment (IES, UPSC, KPSC).
The faculty members of the department are also actively engaged in consultancy work, which helps bridge the gap between academia and industry. Students are also exposed to these consultancy projects which help them become well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges. The department also aims to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in students and, in collaboration with the Incubation Cell, has successfully incubated a startup founded by our students. The department places great emphasis on practical learning and provides students with numerous opportunities.
The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that the department has with reputed research organizations and industries enable regular field work, site visits, and research initiatives that allow students to gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of civil engineering concepts. These activities also foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, the department has also established MoUs with top foreign universities. These partnerships with foreign universities open up a world of opportunities for students, including study abroad programs, foreign internships, and collaborative research projects. Such international exposure broadens students' horizons, enhances their cultural competence, and equips them with a global perspective.
