About Us

The School of Engineering offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In addition to traditional disciplines, the University has introduced B. Tech in VLSI in 2023 and Mechanical with a specialization in Mechatronics.

RESEARCH

B.Tech is a four-year program with each academic year divided into two semesters. During the first year, students are provided with a strong foundation in basic courses, that is humanities, science, mathematics, and engineering sciences.

From the second year onwards, core courses specific to their discipline are offered. In the third year, students have the opportunity to choose their electives, allowing them to customize their course according to their interests.

Dear Students,

The School of Engineering offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the traditional or core fields of engineering, namely Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Petroleum Engineering.

The digital transformation has had a huge impact on every domain, and the core engineering fields are no different. The curriculum of all programs has incorporated courses that expose students to relevant digital technologies and train them on software tools in their respective disciplines. The curriculum also incorporates courses that focus on Industry 4.0 and smart technologies. The choice-based credit system gives students the flexibility of designing their own curriculum with a wide variety of discipline elective courses and Open Electives to choose from. Students are exposed to Industry practices through MOUs with leading Industries in every discipline. The final-year internship provides an opportunity for on-the-job training and helps them become industry-ready.

The university also has close to 100 MOUs with foreign universities, which provide opportunities for semester exchange, research internships, and master's progression. India is poised to become a semiconductor hub in the coming years. Bangalore is set to see a slew of semiconductor industries set up manufacturing facilities, which will lead to a whole lot of job opportunities. In line with this, the School of Engineering is offering two new AICTE-approved B. Tech. programs: B. Tech. (VLSI) and B. Tech. (Electronics Engineering: VLSI Design and Technology) starting in the Academic year 2023.

As reflected in our university’s vision, we believe in creating professionals with integrity and character. The teaching-learning methodology incorporates economic, environmental, and social impacts in addition to ethics. The School of Engineering looks forward to welcoming motivated students to join us to pursue their ambition of becoming truly world-class professionals who wish to bring about a change in society.
