Programme Educational Objectives

After three years of successful completion of the programme, the graduates shall: 

PEO-01: Graduates will develop competent dance practitioners with a strong foundation in classical Indian dance techniques, aesthetics, and performance traditions.  

PEO-02: Graduates will enable learners to integrate theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and creative expression for professional performance, teaching, and choreography. 

PEO-03: Graduates will engage with contemporary platforms such as digital media, interdisciplinary collaborations, and community outreach while preserving classical values. 

PEO-04: Graduates will cultivate disciplined, ethical, and reflective artists capable of lifelong learning, cultural leadership, and contribution to the performing arts ecosystem. 

Programme Outcomes (POs)

On successful completion of the Programme, the students shall be able to: 

PO-01: Demonstrate proficiency in fundamental dance techniques, body alignment, rhythm, and expressive elements common to classical Indian dance forms. 

PO-02: Apply theoretical knowledge of dance history, aesthetics, music, and cultural context to enhance performance and interpretation. 

PO-03: Perform choreographed and improvised dance pieces with confidence, artistic sensitivity, and professional stage presence. 

PO-04: Exhibit teamwork, discipline, ethical responsibility, and adaptability in academic, professional, and creative environments. 

Programme Specific Outcomes

On successful completion of the Program, the students shall be able to: 

PSO-1: Execute classical dance performances by integrating nritta, nritya, and abhinaya principles relevant across Indian classical dance traditions. 

PSO-2: Design and present basic choreography or teaching modules suitable for performances, workshops, or entry-level instruction in classical dance.
