With over 25 years of experience in higher education, research, innovation, and institutional development, Prof. Pal has made significant contributions to academic leadership and quality enhancement. Prior to joining Presidency University, he served as Professor, Founding Head of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, and IQAC Coordinator (BKC) at Christ University, Bengaluru, where he played a key role in advancing quality assurance systems, accreditation processes, academic innovation, and national and international ranking initiatives.

His areas of research and expertise include Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, High-Speed Machining, Drone Technologies, Optimization Techniques, and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Mechanical Systems. He has successfully guided doctoral scholars, mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and led several funded research and innovation initiatives.

Prof. Pal is the author of eight engineering textbooks, holds 36 granted patents, and has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences. His scholarly contributions reflect a strong commitment to research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination.

A Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Prof. Pal actively contributes to professional bodies, editorial boards, peer-review activities, and academic forums. He is also a sought-after trainer, keynote speaker, mentor, consultant, and innovation strategist, dedicated to strengthening the interface between academia, research, industry, and society.
