Five-Day FDP on OBE-Driven Laboratory Practices

December, 2025
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS
;

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PSOE, is organising a five-day Faculty Development Program on Innovative Pedagogy and OBE-driven Laboratory Practices for Enhanced Student Learning from December 15 to 19, 2025.

The programme will focus on best practices in BEEE laboratories, including SOPs, safety protocols, and effective laboratory documentation aligned with OBE requirements. Participants will gain hands-on exposure in OBE-based laboratory manual preparation, advanced experiments along with systematic troubleshooting techniques. Sessions will also cover NI MultisimMATLAB, and effective handling of basic electrical and electronics laboratories.

The FDP will further address Electrical Machines and Special Machines labs, including OC/SC tests, speed control, BLDC, stepper, and synchronous machines with safety, troubleshooting, and CO mapping. Power electronics laboratory sessions will address control of power converters, gate drive circuits, waveform analysis using DSO, and Multisim-based simulation with OBE alignment.

The programme will conclude with Power System Simulation lab training using MiPower software for load flow, fault analysis, protection coordination, and stability studies with OBE-compliant documentation.

Faculty members, research scholars, and laboratory instructors are cordially invited to participate in this FDP and enrich their pedagogical and laboratory practices through hands-on, OBE-driven learning.
