The School of Computer Science and Engineering successfully organised a seminar on “Achieving Excellence: Mastering OBE for Impactful Learning” on 24th January 2025 at QS03. The one-hour online session, convened by Dr. Pallavi R and coordinated by Dr. Praveena KN and Dr. Pallavi M, brought together 21 faculty members to explore the principles and practical applications of Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The seminar aimed to enhance understanding of OBE’s relevance to NBA and NAAC accreditation, enable the formulation of clear and measurable Course Outcomes (COs), and demonstrate systematic CO–PO mapping techniques, as well as CO–PO attainment calculation methods.

The session was led by Dr. Praveena K N, Assistant Professor at Presidency University, Bengaluru, whose expertise in machine learning and image analysis provided participants with valuable insights into aligning COs with Programme Outcomes (POs). Faculty members gained hands-on guidance on developing CO–PO mapping matrices, calculating attainment levels, preparing OBE-compliant course files, and applying outcome mapping for continuous quality improvement (CQI). Feedback highlighted that participants enhanced their comprehension of OBE’s role in curriculum design, CO–PO mapping, and attainment analysis, thereby promoting uniformity and best practices across departments.
