SOMS Anchor Hunt 2026 - The Search for the Next Campus Voice
School of Media Studies successfully conducted Anchor Hunt 2026, an engaging platform designed to identify and celebrate emerging anchoring and communication talent among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 35 students representing various departments of the University, who showcased their confidence, creativity, spontaneity, voice modulation, and stage presence.
The event was coordinated by Mr Rahul Dadhich and Dr Musheera, Faculty Coordinators from the School of Media Studies. The participants were evaluated by Dr Pritha Sanyal, who assessed their overall presentation, communication skills, audience engagement, confidence, voice modulation, and ability to think spontaneously.
Anchor Hunt 2026 provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and experience the dynamics of professional anchoring and public presentation. Participants demonstrated perse styles and approaches while presenting themselves as aspiring television anchors, event hosts, news presenters, and media personalities.
The competition not only highlighted the students’ inpidual talents but also encouraged confidence, effective communication, creativity, and professional presentation skills - essential qualities for careers in journalism, television, digital media, and event hosting.
The successful conduct of Anchor Hunt 2026 reflects the School of Media Studies’ commitment to experiential learning and skill development, providing students with practical platforms to discover, develop, and showcase their abilities in media and communication.
