;

On 27 March 2026, 31 March 2026, 7 April 2026, and 10 April 2026, students from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (SoLAS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, undertook a series of educational field visits to Perseverance School as part of their MSc Psychology (Semester II) curriculum. The initiative was designed to provide meaningful practical exposure to applied psychological principles within a special education setting.

During these visits, students observed a range of structured programmes, including early intervention, school readiness modules, one-to-one therapy sessions, and vocational training initiatives tailored for children with autism and other developmental conditions. These observations enabled students to engage with individualised curriculum design and gain insights into multidisciplinary intervention models integrating occupational therapy, communication training, and behaviour modification techniques.

The visits also offered a deeper understanding of the role of psychologists in assessment and psychodiagnostics, while highlighting the importance of collaborative engagement among educators, therapists, and caregivers. Exposure to real-time classroom dynamics emphasised the value of personalised attention and inclusive learning environments in supporting diverse developmental needs.

Overall, the field visits functioned as an effective bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering empathy, professional commitment, and a nuanced appreciation of inclusive, evidence-based psychological practice.
