The School of Design (SOD), Presidency University, is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of Protopolis 2026, a four-day design and civic programme bringing together designers, researchers, civic leaders, students and communities to explore ideas for more liveable urban futures.

Taking place in Bengaluru from 24–27 September 2026, Protopolis features a two-day Conclave on 24–25 September, followed by public exhibitions and city-facing experiences on 26–27 September. The programme includes visionary talks, hands-on workshops, film screenings, working sessions and exhibitions that examine how design can respond to the challenges and possibilities of our cities.

SOD's participation reflects its commitment to connecting design education with real-world contexts and creating opportunities for students and the wider design community to engage with conversations shaping the future of cities.

The programme also features “The Design Consequence Machine – Designing the Unintended”, presented by Dr Shilpi Bora, Sanskar Verma and Niveditha A S (Ph.D), School of Design, Presidency University, Bangalore, on 24 September.
