Masterclass on “Design to Decision: Managing Creative Strategy”

The School of Design (SOD) organised a masterclass titled Design to Decision: Managing Creative Strategy on 10 February 2026 for 6th Semester Communication Design students. The session was conducted by Mr Bobby Bhatia as part of the course Entrepreneurship Management for Designers, led by Ms Devika Thukral.

 

During the session, Mr Bhatia engaged students in reviewing and critically evaluating their start-up concepts. He provided constructive feedback, enabling them to assess their ideas from both creative and entrepreneurial perspectives. Drawing from his industry experience, he encouraged students to look beyond aesthetic innovation and consider key business aspects such as market positioning, feasibility, scalability and sustainability.

 

The interactive session created a dynamic learning environment in which students presented their concepts, received professional critique and refined their strategies accordingly. The masterclass offered practical insights into transforming design-driven ideas into viable business models.

 

Such mentorship initiatives play a vital role in preparing design students to navigate the evolving start-up ecosystem, effectively bridging creativity with business acumen and strategic decision-making.
