SOC Conducts One-Day FDP on Classroom Behaviour Management

The Presidency School of Commerce, Presidency University, Bengaluru, successfully organised a One-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Classroom Behaviour Management” on 31 July 2026 at F Block, Seminar Hall 1.

 

The programme was convened by Dr Padmavathi M., Dean; Dr Saba Inamdar, HOD In-Charge; and Dr Poornima Karthikeyan, HOD, and coordinated by Dr Shabeena and Dr Umme Jahanara.

 

The FDP featured an insightful session by Dr Syeda Arifa Tasneem, Integrative Clinical Psychologist and Director & CEO, UNSAD Health Pvt. Ltd. She provided faculty members with practical perspectives on student psychology, positive discipline, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and effective classroom behaviour management.

 

The programme included interactive activities and engaging discussions, enabling participants to reflect on classroom challenges and explore practical approaches to fostering positive, supportive, and engaging learning environments.

 

A total of 52 faculty members and research scholars participated in the programme. The FDP concluded with an interactive Question-and-Answer session, participant feedback, and certificate distribution.

 

The programme reinforced the Presidency School of Commerce’s commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices, while equipping faculty members with practical strategies to enhance classroom engagement and contribute to a positive learning environment.
