Presidency School of Allied Health Sciences organised a specialised academic session titled Human Physiology: Reproductive System on 7 May 2026 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Seminar Hall 1, F Block. The session was delivered by Dr Shabina K C. The programme aimed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the male and female reproductive systems, hormonal regulation, reproductive health, and the physiological processes involved in menstruation, fertilisation, and pregnancy. It also focused on bridging theoretical concepts with their clinical applications while promoting awareness of reproductive health, hygiene, and preventive care.

 

The session covered key concepts in reproductive physiology and highlighted their clinical relevance through detailed explanations and interactive discussions. Dr Shabina K C elaborated on gametogenesis, the menstrual cycle, fertilisation, pregnancy, and hormonal functions, enabling students to gain deeper academic insights beyond textbook learning. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate physiotherapy students, who actively engaged in the discussion and clarified their queries during the interactive session. The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants and reflected the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and quality education.
