The ISR Cell at Presidency University, organised an academic interaction session with Dr Olga Gershuni, President of the Indo European One Health Association (IEOHA), during her visit to India on 23 February 2026 at Presidency University.

As part of her visit, Dr Gershuni toured the School of Allied Health Sciences (SoAHS) and interacted with students during a classroom session. The visit aimed to foster awareness among students and faculty regarding the interdisciplinary concept of One Health and its significance in addressing global health challenges through collaborative approaches that integrate human, animal and environmental health.

She visited the Physiotherapy Laboratory, Anatomy Laboratory and Physiology Laboratory, and also toured the university campus. Dr Gershuni engaged warmly with students and faculty members and delivered valuable insights on the topic, “One Health: Global Perspective and Practices.” She emphasised the interconnectedness of human, animal and environmental health, highlighting global health challenges, preventive healthcare strategies and sustainable health practices adopted worldwide.

The session created an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment, providing students with a deeper understanding of global health perspectives, preventive healthcare approaches and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in modern healthcare systems.
