As part of its commitment to experiential and interdisciplinary learning, the AI Club and ADIOX Coding Hub organised an educational industry visit to the College of Agriculture, University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Gandhi Krishi Vignan Kendra (GKVK), Bengaluru, on 27 August 2026. The visit was attended by approximately 60 third-semester B.Tech (ISE) students.

The visit provided students with valuable insights into the intersection of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics and Agriculture. Participants explored modern agricultural practices, precision farming technologies, sensor-based automation systems and sustainable farming techniques. They also gained insights into the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), data analytics and computer-based tools in crop management, soil health monitoring, environmental assessment and agricultural research.

The experience highlighted how emerging technologies are transforming agriculture through smart farming solutions, automation and data-driven decision-making. By connecting classroom concepts with real-world applications, the visit broadened students’ understanding of technological innovation in the agricultural sector.

The initiative aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, promoting experiential learning and exposure to advanced agricultural technologies.

The visit was conducted by Ms Pushpa C, Assistant Professor, and coordinated by Ms Sumita Guddin, Assistant Professor; Dr Ramesh Babu, Assistant Professor; and Ms Sumana Datta, Assistant Professor.
