The Presidency School of Computer Science and Engineering (PSCS), in collaboration with the HARVEST Club, successfully conducted the “NextGen AIoT Bootcamp: Intelligent Machine Learning for Smart Devices with TinyML and Edge AI Deployment” on 27th and 28th February 2026. Held at E Block Seminar Hall 4 and designated classrooms, the two-day programme provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the convergence of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things (AIoT). Led by Dr. Preeth R, Professor at IIITDM Kancheepuram, the bootcamp combined expert lectures with interactive demonstrations, enabling participants to explore the complete lifecycle of intelligent system development—from data acquisition through IoT sensors to deploying optimised models on edge devices.

The sessions covered key areas such as machine learning fundamentals, IoT architecture, TinyML concepts, and Edge AI deployment, offering both theoretical insights and practical exposure. Students gained hands-on experience in building and deploying lightweight models on resource-constrained devices, while also understanding real-world applications across domains such as smart agriculture, healthcare, and automation. The bootcamp effectively bridged the gap between academic learning and emerging industry practices, inspiring students to innovate in AIoT and encouraging further exploration in smart systems and edge computing technologies.
