PSOCSE Inaugurates VisionX Club to Inspire Innovation and Industry Engagement
The Presidency School of Computer Science and Engineering (PSOCSE) successfully hosted the VisionX Club Inauguration – “Inspire • Innovate • Ignite” on 2 March 2026, from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. Conducted as an offline event, the programme brought together students and faculty to mark the launch of a new platform dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration and technological exploration within the school.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Smitha SP, Assistant Professor, PSOCSE, who greeted the gathering and set the tone for the programme. Dr. Blessed Prince P., Professor and Head of the Department, PSOCSE, formally introduced the Chief Guest, Ms. Janani Suresh, AI/ML Engineer. The gathering was also addressed by Dr. Durai Pandian N., Dean, PSOCSE & PSIS and Convener of the event, who emphasised the importance of creating platforms that encourage innovation, knowledge-sharing and industry engagement among students.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Janani Suresh, currently serves as an AI Specialty Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company, Chennai. With over five years of experience in advanced technologies including conversational AI, deep learning, MLOps, AWS and Power BI, she shared valuable insights into emerging trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Her address highlighted the importance of practical learning, adaptability and industry awareness for students aspiring to build successful careers in the technology sector.
Ms. Janani holds an MBA in Human Resources from Presidency College, Bengaluru (2020–2023) and is also pursuing a postgraduate programme in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin (commenced January 2025). Her professional experience includes working as an Associate Engineer at AstraZeneca (2021–2024), specialising in chatbot development and data-driven solutions, and earlier as a Software Engineer at Orion India Systems (2019–2021), where she received the Star of the Month award for her outstanding performance.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation and received highly positive feedback from both students and faculty, reflecting the relevance and impact of the discussions on technology and the future of engineering.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by the release of the problem statement for the upcoming hackathon scheduled on 4 March 2026, encouraging students to engage with real-world challenges through innovation and teamwork.
