The School of Computer Science and Engineering (PSCS), Presidency University, Bengaluru, organised Career Catalyst 2.0: Roadmap to Marquee Offers, a five-day industry expert talk series, from 21 to 25 September 2026. The programme brought together 1,100 students and 15 faculty members to strengthen career readiness and prepare students for recruitment opportunities at leading technology and product-based companies, including Oracle, Microsoft, Flipkart, Google and Amazon.

The sessions featured industry experts Kavitha Chellappan, Senior Director at Oracle Corporation; Chetan KT, Senior Product Manager at Microsoft Fabric; Samir Asad, Senior Product Designer at Flipkart; Abhishek Sultaniya, Software Engineer at Google; and Ronald Raj, Senior HR Specialist and Capacity Manager at Amazon. The experts shared practical insights into recruitment processes, technical interviews, Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), coding and problem-solving, resume building, professional branding, internships, hackathons, off-campus opportunities and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Interactive discussions helped students understand industry expectations and explore perse pathways to marquee career opportunities.

The programme enhanced students’ awareness of industry requirements, encouraged continuous upskilling and helped them identify skill gaps and develop structured career-preparation roadmaps. Participants appreciated the practical guidance and industry interactions, which strengthened their confidence, career awareness and motivation to pursue opportunities beyond conventional campus placements. The initiative also reinforced industry–academia engagement and paved the way for future mentoring, internships, live projects and collaborative career-readiness initiatives.
