The Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), in association with the University Quantum Research Forum (UQRF), inaugurated the Presidency Quantum Nexus Club (PQNC) on 1 September 2026 at Seminar Hall 2, F Block, Presidency University. The programme was held from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm and marked the launch of a multidisciplinary, university-wide platform dedicated to the emerging field of quantum technologies.

The inauguration marked an initiative to establish a common platform for students, faculty members, researchers and technology enthusiasts interested in understanding and exploring the possibilities of quantum technologies. The club aims to encourage continuous learning, knowledge sharing, research, innovation and collaboration across disciplines.

The event highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of quantum technologies and their growing relevance across emerging technology domains. Through PQNC, students and faculty members will have opportunities to explore developments in the field and understand potential applications in computing, communication, security, artificial intelligence, sensing and networking.

The club focuses on a broad range of areas, including Quantum Physics, Quantum Computing, Quantum Security, Quantum Communication, Quantum AI, Quantum Sensing, Quantum Mathematics, Quantum Networks, Cybersecurity, Quantum Materials and Devices, Quantum Applications, and Quantum Innovation. These areas provide an interdisciplinary foundation for exploring both the theoretical principles and practical applications of quantum technologies.

The inauguration also highlighted the importance of developing knowledge and skills in emerging technology domains. The club will provide a platform for students to engage with new concepts, explore research opportunities and participate in activities that promote innovation and interdisciplinary learning.

The Presidency Quantum Nexus Club aims to help students and faculty members connect academic learning with developments in the evolving quantum technology ecosystem. By encouraging interaction, collaboration and knowledge exchange, the initiative seeks to create opportunities to explore new ideas and develop an interest in quantum technologies and their applications.

The programme marked an important step towards strengthening awareness, learning, research and innovation in quantum technologies across the university. Through PQNC, Presidency University continues to promote opportunities for students and faculty members to engage with emerging technologies and explore their potential through interdisciplinary academic and research initiatives.
