The Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), Presidency University, successfully organised the NBA Accreditation Kick-off Programme, titled ‘Roadmap to Excellence’, on 22 August 2026 at E Block Seminar Hall 3, Presidency University, Bengaluru.

The programme was conducted under the leadership of Prof. Dr Shakkeera L, Dean, PSAIAC, with the support and guidance of the university leadership and the NBA coordination team. The session brought together faculty members and department coordinators from across PSAIAC to initiate and strengthen the School’s journey towards National Board of Accreditation (NBA) accreditation.

The programme featured an insightful session by Prof. Dr P. Pal Pandian, Director, IQAC, Presidency University, who shared valuable insights into the NBA accreditation framework, quality assurance mechanisms and the importance of systematic academic processes in achieving accreditation.

The session provided faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of the key components of the NBA accreditation process, including Outcome-Based Education (OBE), Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs), Programme Outcomes (POs), Course Outcomes (COs), curriculum planning, assessment methodologies, attainment analysis, documentation and continuous quality improvement.

The programme emphasised the importance of adopting a structured and collaborative approach to accreditation. Faculty members were encouraged to strengthen academic documentation, align teaching and learning practices with programme outcomes, and ensure the effective measurement and attainment of learning outcomes. The discussions also highlighted the significance of maintaining evidence-based documentation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across academic and institutional processes.

The NBA initiative is being coordinated at the School level by Dr R Vignesh, Associate Professor (Selection Grade), PSAIAC, serving as the School Coordinator – NBA, along with department coordinators Dr S. Shanthi from the Department of Cyber Security and Intelligent Systems, Dr Jagadevi Bakka from the Department of AI & Robotics, and Dr Shaik Jaffer Hussain from the Department of Data Science and Computing Systems.

The programme marked an important beginning in PSAIAC’s accreditation journey and reinforced the School’s commitment to academic excellence, outcome-based education, quality enhancement and continuous improvement. With a shared vision and coordinated efforts, PSAIAC looks forward to building a strong academic ecosystem aligned with national quality standards and progressing confidently towards NBA accreditation and a sustained culture of excellence.
