PSAIAC Hosts FDP on Research Excellence and Project Funding
Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (PSAIAC) successfully organised a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled Research Excellence and Funding Frontiers: Academic Writing, Publication Strategies and Project Funding on 11–12 June 2026 at F Block Seminar Hall-02.
The programme was designed to strengthen faculty expertise in academic writing, scholarly publishing, research proposal development, and sponsored research funding. It featured distinguished resource persons Dr P. William, Professor (Research), Karunya University, Coimbatore, and Dr P. Karthikeyan, Centre Head, Centre for Applied and Responsible AI (CARA), RV University, Bengaluru.
The sessions provided valuable insights into scientific writing, publication strategies, journal selection, publication ethics, intellectual property rights (IPR), research proposal writing, and national and international research funding opportunities. Through expert talks, practical demonstrations, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the research lifecycle, from identifying research gaps and preparing high-quality manuscripts to securing competitive research grants and managing sponsored projects.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 faculty members, fostering a culture of research excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
