PSAIAC Faculty Development Programme on Cloud Computing with AWS
The Department of AI & Robotics, Presidency School of Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Computing (PSAIAC), Presidency University, successfully organised a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Future-Ready Faculty: Mastering Cloud Computing with Amazon Web Services (AWS)”.
The FDP was conducted on 30–31 July 2026 and 6–8 August 2026, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, at LFL01 Lab and Seminar Hall – 4.
The programme focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of cloud computing and AWS technologies through expert-led sessions, practical demonstrations, interactive discussions and industry-oriented learning.
About the Programme
The FDP was organised to enhance faculty expertise in cloud computing, AWS services, cloud architecture, security, application deployment, monitoring and certification pathways.
The programme also aimed to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and support the integration of emerging cloud technologies into teaching, research, laboratory activities and project-based learning.

The sessions were particularly relevant to areas such as Cloud Computing Fundamentals, AWS Compute and Storage, Networking and Security, Cloud Databases, Cloud Monitoring and Management, Application Deployment and Serverless Computing.
Interactions with industry professionals also provided participants with practical perspectives that can contribute to improved curriculum delivery, experiential learning and industry-oriented project development.
Outcome
The successful completion of the five-day FDP contributed to strengthening the cloud computing capabilities of participating faculty members, research scholars and postgraduate students.
