Presidency University Bangalore has moved one step closer to Ireland.

Last week, we welcomed Dr Shekhar Misra, Associate Director for Internationalisation at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics, University of Galway, to our Bengaluru campus for an engagement that translated our partnership into tangible opportunities for students and faculty.

The visit marked an important milestone in our strategic partnership with the University of Galway — Presidency University Bangalore’s first and only strategic partner in Ireland. The partnership was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), covering:

• A dual-degree pathway with our MBA programme

• Progression pathways for business and law students

• Joint research initiatives

• Co-organised international conferences focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

However, the value of a partnership extends beyond the agreement itself. Dr Misra also engaged with our BBA students through a masterclass, “Value Equation 2.0: How AI is Redefining Customer Value Creation and Capture”, offering students an international perspective on how AI is transforming marketing, customer value and business strategy.

We look forward to taking this partnership further and creating even more opportunities for our students and faculty to engage with the University of Galway.
