Omega Coding Club Launches with Tech Talk and Live Drone Demonstration
The Omega Coding Club of the School of Computer Science & Engineering organised “Inspiring Young Minds by Young Minds”, a tech talk and live demonstration, on 28 September 2026, from 2.30 pm to 4.15 pm. The event featured Mr Prasanna M G, Founder of Cybotz Technology Pvt Ltd, who shared insights into entrepreneurship, startup development and his journey from freelance coding to establishing a registered company. He highlighted the importance of building lean minimum viable products (MVPs) and validating ideas before making significant investments.
The session also explored artificial neural networks, machine learning, edge computing and drone robotics. Through an interactive discussion, students learnt how neural networks process real-world inputs, how machine learning models operate on embedded devices, and how sensor fusion contributes to drone stability. The programme included an indoor micro-drone demonstration in Seminar Hall 3, followed by a live demonstration of a four-propeller quadcopter at the Campus Fountain. Students observed the drone’s components and flight capabilities while engaging in technical discussions on battery ratings, electronic speed controllers and flight controller firmware.
With 35 student participants, the event provided a valuable opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications in emerging technologies. The enthusiastic participation of students, interactive question-and-answer sessions and live demonstrations made the programme an engaging learning experience. As the inaugural event of the Omega Coding Club, it marked a promising beginning towards fostering innovation, technical curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
