The Department of Learning & Development, Presidency University, conducted an orientation programme for students of the Presidency School of Allied and Healthcare Professions on 4 and 9 September 2026.

As part of the programme, an OBL team activity was conducted for 92 students under the guidance of Ms Nirmal and Mr Dinesh, Soft Skills Faculty. The activity provided students with experiential learning opportunities focused on teamwork, collaboration and effective interpersonal skills relevant to healthcare settings.

The programme also featured The Making of a Healthcare Leader, facilitated by Dr Umashankar K, Head – Learning & Development. The session encouraged students to explore emerging dimensions of healthcare, including artificial intelligence, nature, spirituality, happiness and whole-person care.

The sessions aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on healthcare while nurturing the collaborative, reflective and human-centred leadership competencies essential for future healthcare professionals.
