Key officials from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) visited Presidency University on 24 February 2026 for a meeting aimed at strengthening industry–academia collaboration and exploring new avenues for academic partnership.

During the visit, the university’s senior leadership and academic representatives engaged in detailed discussions with the TCS delegation on several potential areas of collaboration. The meeting focused on building strong industry–academic partnerships through initiatives such as student development programmes, internships, skill enhancement initiatives, industry-oriented training, and collaborative research opportunities that would benefit both students and faculty members.

The interaction also emphasised the importance of aligning academic learning with the evolving requirements of the industry. Both teams explored possibilities for organising guest lectures by industry experts, enriching the curriculum with industry perspectives, facilitating live industry projects, and conducting hackathons and mentorship programmes. These initiatives aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.

As part of the visit, the TCS delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the university’s infrastructure and facilities, including academic blocks, laboratories, innovation spaces, and student development centres. The officials appreciated the university’s strong academic ecosystem, modern infrastructure, and its commitment to fostering innovation, research, and industry readiness among students.

The visit concluded with a shared commitment to building a long-term partnership that promotes innovation, employability, and collaborative growth. This interaction marks an important step toward strengthening industry engagement and creating opportunities that equip students with practical knowledge and real-world exposure.
