The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, PSOE, organised an industrial visit to the solar power plant at Shivanasamudra, Mandya, Karnataka, on October 29, 2025.

The visit saw enthusiastic participation from over than 40 students of the 3EEE01 section and faculty members.

Its primary objective was to enhance students’ practical understanding of solar power generation and large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Participants gained valuable insights into the operation, maintenance, and efficiency optimisation of solar power plants. Engineers from KPCL guided the students through solar panel installation, inverter operations, and grid integration techniques. The visit also covered topics like power conditioning units, monitoring systems, and safety protocols in plant operations.

The industrial visit bridged the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practices in renewable energy.
