Dept of EEE Organises Five-Day Faculty Development Programme on Innovative Pedagogy for BEEE

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Presidency University, Bengaluru, is organising a Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled "Bridging the Teaching-Learning Gap in BEEE through Innovative Pedagogy for Freshmen", scheduled to be held from 23 to 28 July 2026.

 

Resource Persons

 

The FDP will feature sessions by the following resource persons:

  • Dr V. Joshi Manohar, Head, Department of EEE and Associate Dean (First Year)
  • Dr Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Professor and Head, Department of ECE
  • Dr Sandhya Das, Associate Professor, Department of ECE

Objective

 

The five-day Faculty Development Programme aims to enhance faculty competencies in delivering Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEEE) courses through innovative, outcome-based teaching practices. It focuses on strengthening pedagogical skills by integrating active learning, ICT tools, AI-enabled teaching, and experiential learning methodologies into classroom instruction. The programme also emphasises effective assessment strategies, CO–PO mapping, and attainment practices aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE). Through expert sessions and hands-on activities, it encourages the development of engaging, student-centred learning experiences. Ultimately, the FDP seeks to bridge the teaching-learning gap and improve the academic performance and learning outcomes of first-year engineering students.
