Dept. of EEE Organises Five-Day Faculty Development Programme on Innovative Pedagogy

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Presidency School of Engineering, successfully organised a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Bridging the Teaching–Learning Gap in BEEE through Innovative Pedagogy for Freshmen” from 23 to 28 July 2026.

 

The programme focused on strengthening teaching and learning practices for first-year students through innovative, learner-centric and outcome-based pedagogical approaches.

The FDP provided faculty members with valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies, innovative classroom practices, student engagement strategies, and approaches to addressing learning gaps among freshmen. The programme emphasised the integration of innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, active learning techniques and effective academic practices to enhance student participation and learning outcomes.

 

The sessions were delivered by eminent academic experts and faculty members, offering participants practical perspectives and effective strategies that can be implemented in the classroom.

 

Overall, the FDP contributed significantly to faculty capacity building, enhanced teaching effectiveness, and the development of student-centric learning practices in BEEE.
