The Department of Chemistry, School of Engineering, Presidency University, organised a seminar titled “Architecting Nanoengineered Materials for Sustainable Water Remediation” on 27 August 2026. The session focused on advanced nanoengineered materials and polymeric composites for water purification, desalination, wastewater treatment, antifouling applications, and sustainable water-remediation technologies.

The seminar was delivered by Dr Sk Safikul Islam, Assistant Professor, ITRH & Department of Chemistry, School of Engineering, Presidency University. The event was coordinated by Dr Pinki Pal, Assistant Professor–Selection Grade, Department of Chemistry. The seminar provided students, research scholars, and faculty members with valuable exposure to emerging research and sustainable technologies in water-resource management.
