The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Presidency University, in association with the Alumni Association, organised an engaging Alumni Talk titled “From Classroom Concepts to Real-World Innovation at Caterpillar Inc.” on 21 February 2026 at 10:30 AM. The session was delivered by Mr Dhanith P U, Associate Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., who shared his professional journey and insights into applying core mechanical engineering principles in a global industrial environment. He highlighted the transition from academic learning to industry practices, emphasising innovation, problem-solving and continuous skill development. The interactive session provided students with valuable exposure to real-world engineering challenges and career opportunities, making it an inspiring and informative experience for all participants.
