The Kannada Club at Presidency University, under the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is one of the most vibrant cultural clubs on campus. Established to celebrate and preserve the Kannada language, literature, and Karnataka's rich cultural heritage, the club organizes events throughout the academic year that blend tradition with creativity.
From grand Rajyotsava celebrations and campus flash mobs to inter-college language competitions and Kannada cinema events, the club offers students a dynamic platform for expression, teamwork, and cultural pride. The 2025 Kannada Habba was a landmark event — held across the entire campus with 2000+ students in the campus, celebrity appearances by singer Sanjith Hegde, comedian Nitin Kamat, and theatre artist Dr. B R Manjunath, and a special film promotion segment for 'Bharathi Teacher'.
The club also hosted Pada Samara — a Kannada language competition at Invincia 2026 — open to students across Bengaluru with a prize pool of ₹14,000, demonstrating the club's reach beyond the university campus.
