Aurora 2026: Welcoming the Next Generation of Psychology Students at PSoLAS

Presidency School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (PSoLAS), Presidency University, is delighted to welcome the incoming batch of BA/B.Sc. Psychology students through Aurora 2026 – the Inaugural, Orientation and Academic Bridge Course Programme, scheduled from 18 June to 6 July 2026.

 

Designed to ease the transition from school to university life, Aurora 2026 offers students an engaging introduction to academic learning, campus culture, student support systems, and future career pathways. The programme combines orientation sessions, academic familiarisation, experiential learning, skill-building workshops, and interdisciplinary activities to help students begin their university journey with confidence.

 

Orientation and Inaugural Sessions

 

The inaugural and orientation programme will be held on 18 and 19 June 2026, featuring addresses from university leadership and sessions introducing students to key aspects of university life, including academic regulations, assessments, ERP and IT services, career progression, library resources, student wellbeing, mentoring, co-curricular opportunities, international relations, NCC, NSS, and student support initiatives. Parents of newly admitted students are also invited to attend the inaugural day.

 

Academic Bridge Course Experience

 

From 22 June to 6 July 2026, students will participate in a specially curated bridge course programme designed to broaden perspectives and foster intellectual curiosity. The sessions include:

  • Art of Watching Films
  • Positive Psychology
  • Global Link – IELTS Orientation Sessions
  • Human Library
  • Exploring the World of Theatre
  • Media and Artificial Intelligence Literacy
  • Centering and Grounding Practices
  • Sports and Wellness Activities
  • Storytelling Through Performance Arts
  • Building Skills, Identity and Career Success
  • Stories in Art & Color
  • Calligraphy Workshop
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing Guide
  • Dream, Discover & Achieve Workshop

The programme also includes language exposure sessions in German, French, and Spanish, as well as a field visit titled Navigating Namma Bengaluru through Books and Bylanes, encouraging students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

Aurora 2026 reflects PSoLAS's commitment to holistic education by helping students develop academic readiness, critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and personal wellbeing. Through interactions with faculty members, industry experts, counsellors, and peers, students will gain valuable insights into university life and the opportunities that await them.
