Dr. P Pal Pandian currently serves as Director – Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Presidency University, Bangalore, where he leads initiatives focused on academic quality, accreditation, rankings, and strategic institutional transformation.

Previously, he served as Professor and Founding Coordinator of Robotics and Mechatronics and IQAC Coordinator (BKC) at Christ University, Bangalore contributing to quality assurance frameworks, national and international rankings, and academic innovation initiatives and innovation strategist with over 25 years of experience in higher education, research, and institutional development. 

His research expertise spans High-Speed Machining, Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, Drone Technologies, Optimization Techniques, and AI integration in Mechanical Systems. He has supervised PhD scholars and mentored over 50+ undergraduate and postgraduate projects, while successfully executing nationally and internationally funded research projects.

Dr. Pal is the author of 8 engineering textbooks, holds 24 granted patents, 04 copyrights and has published 40 international journal papers and 35 international conference papers. As a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), he actively contributes to editorial boards, peer review panels, and global academic forums.

He is also an industry trainer, keynote speaker, entrepreneur, coach, and consultant, passionate about bridging academia, research, and industry innovation. His leadership continues to drive institutional excellence through accreditation frameworks such as NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and global ranking systems, along with interdisciplinary teaching and collaborative research.
