Recognizing that financial constraints should never hinder a student’s aspirations; we have designed a comprehensive scholarship program for the academic year 2025–26 to provide valuable financial support tailored to a wide range of criteria.
This scholarship initiative is structured to reward academic excellence, acknowledge outstanding performance in entrance examinations, and support students based on their personal circumstances. By offering various financial aid opportunities, we aim to foster inclusivity and empower deserving students to pursue their educational goals with confidence. Our scholarship program reflects our dedication to promoting merit, diversity, and equal opportunities, helping students excel in their academic journeys without financial burden.
Types of Scholarships Offered
- 1. A. Merit-Based Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to students who have exhibited outstanding academic performance in their qualifying examinations.
- For students securing 90% and above in their previous academic results: Eligibility: Applicable to B.Tech, UG (Non-Engineering), and PG programs.
- B. Merit-Based Scholarships
- For students scoring between 80.01% and 89.99%:
Eligibility: Also applicable to B.Tech, UG (Non-Engineering), and PG programs.
Note: Merit-based scholarships are available exclusively for students admitted under the Management Category.
- 2. Entrance Exam-Based Merit Scholarships
These scholarships recognize students who have performed exceptionally well in national and state-level entrance exams.
- For students scoring 90% and above in competitive exams such as JEE Main, CUET, CAT, MAT, and XAT.
- For students scoring between 80.01% and 89.99% in the same exams.
- KCET Rank-Based Scholarships:
- Ranks 01–1000
- Ranks 1001–10,000
- Ranks 10,001–20,000
- PGCET Rank-Based Scholarships:
- Ranks 01–100
- Ranks 101–250
These scholarships aim to reward not just consistent academic performers, but also those who excel in high-pressure competitive environments.
- 3. Special Scholarships
Presidency University extends additional support to students from unique personal or social backgrounds through a range of special scholarships:
- Students from Jammu & Kashmir
- Single Parent (Mother Only) families
- Siblings studying at the university
- Twins (scholarship applicable for one child)
- Ex-Presidency students (alumni of the institution)
- Defence personnel (serving and former)
- Students from Reserved Categories (SC/ST)
- Physically challenged students
- Orphans
- Students from North-East India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura)
- Sports Scholarships for exceptional athletic performance
Special scholarships are applicable for all years of study and are independent of academic merit.
Important Guidelines
- A student can avail only one scholarship at a time, based on the most beneficial category.
- Merit scholarships apply only to students admitted under the Management Category.
- Scholarships for subsequent academic years will be continued based on the student’s performance in their first or respective years, in accordance with university policies.
- Foreign students are eligible for a 15% fee concession across all programs and academic years.
