The School of Media Studies Presidency University conducted an informative workshop on “Environmental Communication” on November 9, 2023. The resource person for the event was Mr. Sammilan Shetty, also popularly known as the “Butterfly Man” of Karnataka. Sammilan, a conservationist, helped students understand the importance of being responsible for the environment, focusing on conservation during this session.

Through the workshop, the students also understood the challenges and vagaries of climate change, the rich biodiversity and heritage of the Western Ghats, and how environmental communication can spread awareness amongst communities at large.
