Presidency School of Media Studies successfully organised a workshop on Climate Journalism on October 14, 2025. The session was led by Ms. Navya Singh, environmental journalist and media professional.

Ms. Singh shared experiences from her expeditions across India, offering a vivid glimpse into the very real environmental challenges faced by various regions across India and the world at large. She also shared inspiring stories on how simple, conscious choices, such as using bamboo, promoting millets, repurposing clothes, and adopting sustainable lifestyle practices, can collectively make a significant impact in leading an environmentally responsible life.

Ms. Singh also addressed students’ questions on career opportunities in climate journalism, media entrepreneurship, and the future of environmental reporting, providing practical guidance and motivation to aspiring media professionals.

Ms. Singh’s session left students motivated to tell climate stories that not only inform but also inspire action toward a more sustainable and responsible future.
