Words. Wit. Fire: A High-Energy Speaking Showdown

19-November-2025

The Speakers & Anchors ClubPresidency School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, organised a high-energy speaking competition, "WWF: Words. Wit. Fire", on November 19, 2025. The event brought together over 20 teams for an engaging showcase of spontaneity, creativity, and verbal agility.

The teams enthusiastically participated in three rounds – “New Choice”, “Mind Your Word”, and the “electrifying Word Boxing” – where they demonstrated quick thinking, sharp wit, and strong teamwork as they navigated improv situations, trap-word challenges, and rapid-fire rebuttals. The performances were judged by Dr. Pritha Sanyal, HOD, PSOLAS.

Aligned with key SDGs such as Quality Education and Partnerships for the Goals, and supporting broader goals like Gender Equality, Reduced Inequalities, and Peace and Strong Institutions, the event promoted inclusive participation, respectful dialogue, and skill-based learning.

Overall, the event proved to be an enriching platform that enhanced soft skills, encouraged intellectual play, and contributed meaningfully to the university’s cultural and academic environment.
