As part of the Pre-Placement & Industry Readiness Training programme, the Department of Civil Engineering organised an industrial visit to Prestige Camden Gardens, Thanisandra, Bengaluru, to provide students with first-hand exposure to a live construction environment. Coordinated with Prestige Constructions through Mr Vinod Kumar S and led on site by Er. Ashok Kumar, Founder and CEO of CMTI, the visit reinforced the industry-focused objectives outlined during the inaugural sessions by translating classroom learning into practical, real-world observations.

The visit commenced with a mandatory safety induction and PPE checks, emphasising professional discipline and site safety norms. Students observed the sequencing of core and shell, MEP, and finishing works, quality control practices for key construction activities, and on-site safety systems. They were also introduced to essential project documentation, including Daily Progress Reports, Work Inspection Requests, inspection checklists, photographs, and RFI logs. By recording their observations in structured formats, students were able to effectively link theoretical concepts with on-site execution, making the visit a valuable bridge between academic knowledge and industry practice.
