Presidency University Bangalore was honoured to welcome Professor Imelda Maher, Dean and Head of School at UCD Sutherland School of Law, along with Ms Surabhi Joshi, Director, South Asia.

 

A key highlight of the visit was Professor Maher’s lecture, “Law and Hope”, which offered students and faculty thought-provoking perspectives on how law shapes society, institutions and the future.

 

The visit also opened meaningful avenues for academic collaboration, including:

• Master’s progression opportunities

• Faculty exchange, guest lectures and masterclasses

• Joint research and conference collaboration

• Moot Court and Clinical Legal Education exchange

These discussions mark an important step towards building a stronger academic partnership between the two institutions, with opportunities to be developed further in the months ahead.
