The Presidency School of Law successfully conducted a two-day workshop on “The New Criminal Laws: Interactive Sessions with Industry Experts” at the campus on September 19–20, 2024.

The keynote speakers included Senior Adv. Madhukar Deshpande, Panel Counsel – Enforcement Directorate, State Bank of India, ISRO, Government of Karnataka, SW railways, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (Senior Panel Counsel in Union of India (UOI), representing the Registrar General of High Court of Karnataka) and Adv. Shri. Mallikarjuna R. Madwal, former Civil Judge and Magistrate 1st class.

The engaging discussions the legal experts helped provide participants with invaluable insights into recent changes in the Bharathiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharathiya Sakshya Adhinayam (BSA), and Bharathiya Nagarik Surakshya Adhinayam (BNSS).

The interactive sessions equipped young legal professionals with practical skills and deeper understanding of the new laws, ensuring a highly enriching experience. The overwhelmingly positive feedback underscored the event’s significant impact on the professional development of future legal practitioners.
