The Legal Services Clinic, Presidency School of Law, under the esteemed District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru Rural, organised a three-day Legal Aid and Environmental Awareness Camp on March 7-9, 2025. The initiative aimed to inculcate the spirit of social service among students, providing them with hands-on experience in legal aid and community engagement.

The event was conducted in Hadonhalli and Ghatti Subramanya Panchayat, covering three villages—Hadonalli, Lakshmidevipura, and Gangasandra. A total of 124 final-year law students participated, forming 21 teams to engage in legal awareness initiatives, surveys, and environmental activities. Findings revealed that 68% of villagers were unaware of government welfare schemes, while 30% faced unresolved land disputes without legal representation. Additionally, an environmental awareness drive was carried out, which included planting 50 tree saplings at ICAR UAS GKVK Krushi Vigyan Kendra and educating villagers on plastic waste management, as 74% lacked proper disposal methods.
