The School of Design conducted a CYNOTYPE workshop for its first-year students on April 22–24, 2024, at Presidency University. The key person was Mr. Royalkriss Thangjam, who has over five years of experience in graphic art (printmaking). He holds a master's in fine arts from Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan. He currently works as a faculty at the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parikshath, Bangalore. Mr. Thangjam is also a recipient of the National Scholarship for Young Artists by the Ministry of Culture of India for the years 2017–2019.

The workshop helped students understand the uniqueness of the printmaking process due to its handmade nature. With the distinctive blue tones used, the students understood that an image can be given depth and dimensionality. By the end of the workshop, all the participants had gained insights into the practical aspects of printmaking. As a part of their learning, students also displayed their artwork near the administration block at Presidency University.
