Presidency School of Liberal Arts & Sciences organised a talk on "Red Flags of Suicide, Evaluation and Psychological Interventions" in observance of World Suicide Prevention Awareness Month on September 17, 2025. The key speaker was Ms. Samyuktha Reddy, psychologist, Manipal Hospital, Yeshwanthpur.

Ms. Reddy introduced students to terminology, risk factors associated with suicide, and treatment modalities. She emphasised the urgent need to address tobacco addiction by understanding its forms of abuse, the physical and psychological effects of smoking, and effective interventions for cessation and alternatives during the quitting process.

The session was highly informative and aimed to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
