SOMS: Empowering Digital Mindfulness in Schools
The Presidency School of Media Studies (PSOMS) at Presidency University, Bengaluru, is proud to recognise Sherin P. Shaji, Assistant Professor at SOMS, for spearheading a series of impactful workshops: "Social Media Awareness: Digital Detox and Personal Growth".
As part of our commitment to Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR), Sherin travelled to Central Kerala to engage with students at two prestigious institutions:
-
Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Kottayam
-
St. Aloysius Higher Secondary School, Athirampuzha
In an age where constant connectivity is the norm, Sherin’s workshops provided students with vital strategies to navigate the digital landscape mindfully. By focusing on the intersection of a "digital detox" and academic excellence, this initiative empowered young minds to reclaim their time for personal development.
This successful outreach was made possible under the visionary leadership of the Head of the Presidency School of Media Studies, Dr Ashish Sharma.
At the Presidency School of Media Studies, we believe in taking media education beyond the classroom. PSOMS applauds Sherin P. Shaji for embodying this spirit and fostering a balanced digital future for the youth.
