Presidency School of Management (SOM) announced the release of the 10th edition of the Sigma Operations Club Newsletter. The official launch took place on Tuesday, 2 June, at 10:00 am in F Block Seminar Hall No. 2.

 

The newsletter was formally unveiled by Dr Dinesh Nilkant, Provost, Presidency University, and Dr K. Krishna Kumar, Dean In Charge, Presidency School of Management. The latest edition highlights the School's key achievements and activities, reflecting its continued commitment to fostering leadership, innovation and academic excellence.

 

Edition #10 highlights include:

• PMI-PU Club Inauguration: The successful launch of the PMI-PU Club, marking a significant step in promoting student engagement in project management initiatives.
• International Student Selections: Recognition of students selected for academic opportunities in Seoul and across South Asia, showcasing the global reach and calibre of Presidency University students.
• Industry–Academia Collaboration: The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KASSIA, along with a guest lecture by MERCK, reinforcing strong partnerships with industry.
• Student-led AI Logistics Research: A student research project in AI and logistics that delivered annual savings of ₹41,000, demonstrating the practical impact of academic innovation.
• New Club Leadership: The election of new Sigma Operations Club office bearers, ensuring continuity and fresh perspectives for the club's future initiatives.

The Sigma Operations Club Newsletter reflects the vibrant academic environment at the Presidency School of Management and celebrates the achievements and meaningful contributions of its faculty and students. It continues to embody the club's motto: "Lead Bold. Think Sharp. Manage Tomorrow."
