Day 11 of Deeksharambh 2026 brought together two important dimensions of management education—the values that shape responsible leaders and the global forces influencing tomorrow’s business environment.

 

The day began with a thought-provoking session on “Ethics, Values and Code of Conduct” led by Ms Sangeetha Vijay, HR Professional.

 

For future managers, ethical decision-making is not simply about following rules; it is about making responsible choices, upholding integrity and understanding the impact of decisions on people and organisations. The session encouraged students to reflect on the values they wish to carry with them as they step into the corporate world.

 

The focus then shifted from personal and professional values to the wider global business landscape through an insightful Panel Discussion on the India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.

 

The discussion brought together distinguished academic and institutional voices:

• Dr Dinesh Nilkant – Provost & Professor, Presidency University
• Prof Raghu – Director, Presidency School of Management
• Dr K. Krishna Kumar – Professor & Dean, School of Management
• Dr Sagi Srilalitha Girija Kumari – Professor & Associate Dean, School of Management

The panel gave students an opportunity to explore international business beyond textbooks and understand how trade agreements, global markets, international relations and cross-border opportunities influence businesses and future managerial careers.

 

For MBA students, conversations such as these are particularly valuable, broadening their perspective from managing organisations to understanding the global ecosystem in which those organisations operate.

 

The day also featured Certification Planning, Mentoring – Unlock Your Potential, and a Bridge Session – Communication, adding further dimensions of career preparedness, personal development and effective communication to the learning experience.

 

Day 11 beautifully connected the “inside” and the “outside” of management—developing leaders with strong values while preparing them to navigate an increasingly interconnected global business environment.
